Later is founded on two success stories that began in 2014: Mavrck, the industry-leading influencer marketing solution (now Later Influence™), and Later, the best social media management platform (now Later Social™) and first-to-market link in bio tool.

We're trusted by the top social platforms, with partnerships and integrations with Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.

In 2024, Mavrck and Later officially joined together as one unified business, with a shared vision: to enable the world to make a living with their creativity. We're now on a mission to build the world's first Social Revenue Platform.

Later will be the first inclusive platform where social media managers, influencer managers, and creators can come together to collaborate on content. We enable marketers to create high-performing content and engage in authentic collaborations with creators to reach new audiences, drive engagement, and generate predictable ROI.

As a trusted partner and go-to source for social media advice, we help create an engaged community for reliable performance and repeatable growth.

We're looking for a creative, conversion-focused Senior Copywriter to join our copy & content team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced copywriter to own copy projects at Later, and make your mark in the social media and influencer marketing space (a deep understanding and passion for the industry are a must!).

The ideal candidate will have experience writing short-form brand copy for B2B/B2C audiences, ideally with experience at a tech or SaaS company. You have experience owning large, multi-channel copy projects and campaigns from start to finish. You enjoy taking initiative and actively brainstorming new creative ideas to build brand awareness and thought leadership.

As a senior-level copywriter, you're used to collaborating regularly with graphic designers, web designers, product marketers, sales leads, and other cross-functional team members.

Responsibilities

Creative Copywriting + Ownership

  • Own copy tasks from start to finish (you'll own the majority of copy projects at Later)
  • Write clear, accurate, actionable copy, ensuring alignment with project brief + goals
  • Deep understanding of SEO best practices (you know when to balance voice vs. keywords)
  • Unparalleled writing, editing, and proofreading skills (editing for typos and grammar, but also for overall messaging, clarity, action, tone of voice, etc.)

Brand Voice & Product Knowledge

  • Quickly learn & get up to speed on Later's:
    • tone & voice and style guide and use consistently across projects
    • entire product offering & features and stay up to date on all new launches and updates
  • Edit and proofread copy for tone and product accuracy

Strategy & Project Management

  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements (deliver projects on time, to spec, on brief)
  • Collaborate with designers, advertising strategists, product marketing managers, and others on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. email campaigns, landing pages, ad copy, etc.)
  • Manage daily tasks and prioritize projects to keep projects on track for deadlines (you own your work)

Data & Measurement

  • Use data and analytics to evaluate the impact and success of copy
  • Use feedback and insights to make data-driven copy decisions and improvements on creative decisions

Experimentation & Optimization

  • You stay up to date (and are interested in) industry news and seek creative inspiration from other brands outside of our industry
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance copy processes for increased efficiency
  • Iterating copy based on feedback & campaign performance
  • Partner with our SEO team and use keywords and tactics to maximize performance
  • Actively brainstorm new ways to bring our brand voice to life

Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a copywriter writing conversion-focused copy
  • Experience writing and owning large-scale copy projects from start to finish
  • Deep knowledge of marketing funnel and experience writing copy for customer conversion
  • Experience incorporating SEO into copy
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills (experience with Asana is a bonus)
  • Creative and collaborative
  • Experience and comfort operating in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Please provide a link to your portfolio

Bonus

  • Experience in tech, SaaS, and/or agency
