General Description:

The Senior Coordinator of VDC/BIM is responsible for leading the implementation and management of BIM processes and technologies throughout the design and construction phases of projects. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, enhancing project coordination, and ensuring the effective use of virtual design tools to improve project outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • VDC/BIM Management
    • Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows for all projects
    • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of BIM models
    • Ensure compliance with BIM standards and project requirement
  • Project Coordination
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate VDC/BIM processes into project workflows
    • Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and ensure model accuracy
    • Support the project team in using VDC/BIM tools for planning, design, and construction activities
  • Technology Implementation
    • Identify and implement the latest VDC/BIM technologies and software to enhance project efficiency and accuracy
    • Provide training and support to project teams on VDC/BIM tools and processes
    • Develop and maintain a library of VDC/BIM content and standards
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular audits of BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
    • Identify and address any discrepancies or issues within the models
    • Ensure that BIM models are updated throughout the project lifecycle

  • Process Improvement
    • Analyze current VDC/BIM processes and identify areas for improvement
    • Develop and implement best practices to optimize VDC/BIM workflows and enhance project outcomes
    • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in VDC/BIM technology
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the VDC/BIM team, providing guidance and support
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • A Master’s degree or professional certification in VDC/BIM is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in VDC/BIM management, virtual design, or a related field within the real estate development or construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of VDC/BIM standards, protocols, and best practices
  • Proficiency in VDC/BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD,
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to handle high-pressure situations and remain calm under stress

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000
