Launch Finance is looking for a Senior Controller Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in financial management, preferably within the startup and technology sectors. As a Senior Controller Consultant, you will provide strategic financial guidance and oversee the accounting operations. This is a unique opportunity to work with various clients, driving financial excellence and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial statement preparation and monthly close processes for multiple clients.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance transparency and strengthen internal controls.
- Collaborate with client teams to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
- Manage audit processes and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff and clients.
- Support clients in budgeting and forecasting efforts.
- Deliver financial reporting and analysis tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, with preferred concentrations in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; holding a CPA designation is highly favored.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar.
- Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and analysis, along with a proven track record of constructing financial models.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in a startup environment and a strong understanding of the SaaS and technology (hardware/software) sectors are essential.
