A global commodities organization is looking for a Senior Contract Administrator to join its Houston-based commercial team. This individual will provide day-to-day support for the documentation and administration of physical commodity transactions, helping ensure trades progress smoothly from initial execution through completion.
The role will primarily support petrochemical and fuel oil activity, while also providing exposure to transactions involving crude oil, natural gas, and renewable commodities.
Qualifications & Experience
- five years of experience in contracts administration, commercial operations, trade operations, contract management, or a comparable role.
- Contract administration experience with NAESB (a must) as well as knowledge/experience with Crude contracts. (EEI and ISDA contract experience is nice to have)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive activities simultaneously.
- ETRM experience (CXL preferred) and MS Suite proficiency required.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through.
- Ability to work effectively when priorities and requests change throughout the day.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly when working with traders and other commercial stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to work full-time from the company's Houston office in the Galleria area.
The strongest candidates will be organized, proactive, detail-focused, responsive, dependable, process-oriented, and comfortable working in a high-volume commodities trading environment.
