Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Senior Contract Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will provide contract administration and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle, safeguarding the client’s contractual and commercial interests and ensuring effective management of contractual obligations, changes, claims, and commercial risks.

We are seeking a senior contracts professional with approximately 15-17 years of experience, preferably within a PMC/Client environment and with substantial exposure to major hospitality or luxury developments. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, contractually strong, and able to provide clear, defensible recommendations to senior management and the client.

Project: Major Hospitality / Hotel Development

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administer construction, consultancy, design and specialist hospitality contracts.

  • Monitor contractual compliance, notices, obligations, milestones, bonds, insurance and other key requirements.

  • Manage variations and change control from identification through assessment, negotiation, approval and implementation.

  • Review PVNs, PVRs, Change Orders, Variation Orders and supporting substantiation.

  • Assess contractual entitlement, cost and programme impacts of variations and claims.

  • Review claims, including EOT, disruption, prolongation, acceleration and additional costs.

  • Identify scope overlap, duplication, double counting and other commercial risks.

  • Review payment applications and coordinate with QS/Cost Management teams on certification.

  • Support commercial negotiations and prepare contractual assessments and recommendations to the Client.

  • Draft contractual notices, letters, instructions and commercial correspondence.

  • Maintain contract, variation, claims and action registers and provide regular commercial reporting.

  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, hotel operators, designers and other project stakeholders.

  • Support contract amendments, extensions, close-out and final account activities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 15–17+ years of relevant contract administration/commercial experience.

  • Strong experience in hospitality, hotel, luxury, mixed-use or major building developments.

  • Experience working with a PMC, Client, consultant or major contractor.

  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and bespoke construction/consultancy contracts.

  • Proven experience in variations, claims, EOT, payment, negotiations and contractual risk management.

  • GCC/Middle East experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying

  • MRICS, MCIArb or postgraduate Construction Law/Contract Management qualification desirable.

  • Strong contractual and commercial judgment.

  • Excellent knowledge of contract administration and change management.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to independently manage complex contractual matters.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Strong attention to detail and contractual record keeping.

  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
