What will you be doing?

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you’re responsible for designing and delivering robust, scalable technology solutions for clients in the energy and commodity trading industry. This client-facing role works on system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements, while collaborating with industry experts to develop solutions that align with clients’ unique business needs. You will apply strong development and troubleshooting skills in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to long-term success and continuous innovation for capSpire’s clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement technical solutions for client projects, including system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades.
• Build and deploy full-stack applications using modern frameworks (.NET, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, etc.)
• Proven experience working with ETRM systems like RightAngle or Allegro, in a technical capacity.
• Build and maintain design documentation to support application architecture and development.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand needs and co-design solutions
• Participate in the validation and execution of test cases to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Apply strong technical troubleshooting skills to solve complex issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements across front, mid, and back office functions.
• Work cross-functionally with teams to ensure integration with enterprise systems.
• Gain and apply industry knowledge in energy and commodity trading systems to provide forward-thinking client solutions.
• Contribute to BI dashboards, reporting tools, and data warehouse structures
• Work iteratively in project environments with functional and technical leads

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications (.NET/C#, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Create technical solutions for system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements. This can come in the form of helping with a system implementation, upgrade or enhancement.
• Experience integrating third-party systems (APIs, cloud platforms, workflow tools)
• Solid experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle)
  Strong understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design.
• Excellent technical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work well in collaborative, team-oriented environments while also being self-motivated.
• Strong aptitude for understanding client business needs and translating them into effective solutions.
• Bonus: Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), cloud environments (Azure, AWS), or scripting (Python, Node.js)
