Make an impact as a Senior Consultant in our Enterprise Risk – Technology Risk team. This diverse team of professionals utilizes leading-edge industry knowledge to assist clients in mitigating risk. As a trusted advisor, you’ll identify and address enterprise issues, evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls and optimize system design to mitigate clients’ risk of system interruption. 

 

Responsibilities

·       Responsible for the delivery of Enterprise Risk Services such as risks assessments, internal audits, performance and controls improvement, IT/systems audits, independent risk advisory on large business/technology transformations, compliance programs, developing risk management policies and frameworks and assisting with risk mitigation strategies 

·       Accountable for assessing business processes and internal control frameworks across a range of industries identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and controls through the development of enterprise risk/operational risk management programs 

·       Deliver industry and technical expertise in information security through client interactions, research and analysis, reports, technical work, management presentations, and proposals 

·       Execute walkthroughs and control testing in support of ICFR/ITGC engagements and recommend/ implement process improvements related to current processes and design of controls 

·       Participate in the development and delivery and/or contribution towards thought leadership, including delivery of training and supporting development of published thought leadership content 

·       Determine engagement scope, programs, criteria and procedures to fully execute the work 

·       Obtain, analyse and evaluate audit documentation, previous reports, data and flowcharts 

·       Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management’s interventions 

·       Ensure detailed process and control narratives are properly documented and prepare findings 

·       Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards of various sectors  

·       Manage project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition) 

·       Execute project management tasks through the provision of client services including planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating engagements 

·       Facilitate collaboration with client engagement team prior to commencement of client work to discuss roles and responsibilities, risk areas and deadlines 

·       Provide support and supervision to more junior team members during the delivery of client engagements 

·       Support sales processes, including but not limited to proposal writing, attending and actively participating in sales meetings, supporting the development of work plan effort estimates and quotes, etc. 

·       Identify ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value 

·       Maintain high-quality control by reviewing work done from other team members for accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to team members 

·       Monitor project timelines against targets, adjusting where necessary, and advise clients of project status 

·       Leverage team appropriately to ensure proper documentation is prepared for the client and procedures relating to the file are followed accordingly 

·       Develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industry 

·       Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes  





Requirements

Skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, math, science, computer science or other related field

·       Completion of a CPA, CIA, CISA, or CGAP is considered an asset (completion of other relevant designations in risk management, technology risk, or privacy is considered an asset)

·       3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, most of which is in risk management, internal audit, or accounting/finance

·       Experience in innovative technology such as blockchain or AI/machine learning is considered an asset

·       Experience leading projects start to finish

·       Experience identifying and quantifying threats, risks and opportunities as well as interviewing clients and being able to understand and document risks, root causes, impacts and mitigation

·       Experience in business and practice development

·       Willing to learn and employ data analytics

 

Educational Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, engineering, math, science, computer science or other related field  

 

Certifications

·       Completion of a CPA, CIA, CISA, or CGAP is considered an asset (completion of other relevant designations in risk management, technology risk, or privacy is considered an asset)

 

Experience

·       3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, most of which is in risk management, internal audit, or accounting/finance
