It actively implements the strategy of "30 60 carbon peak and neutrality" and builds a new power system with new energy as the main body. It provides core technologies and system solutions in the fields of smart grid, energy storage, new energy vehicle charging and operation and integrated energy services.

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
Guide the professional development of team members, identifying training needs and supporting their growth.
Promote effective communication, knowledge sharing, and teamwork among team members and other departments.
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Allocate resources, monitor progress, and identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting the adoption of best practices and efficient engineering methodologies.
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, leveraging your expertise to resolve complex technical challenges.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and innovations, and evaluate their potential impact on our engineering processes.
Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
Identify and leverage outside resources where required to fill gaps in competencies
Develops and manages budget, schedule, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines for assigned projects.
Work collaboratively within the Global Product Team to fulfill requirements and/or meet applicable standards, including the associated cost and cycle time.
Foster effective communication and collaboration between engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements and objectives.
Coordinate with external partners, vendors, or contractors as necessary to meet project deliverables.
Provide input into the recruitment and onboarding of engineering talent, identifying skill gaps and ensuring the team has the necessary resources to succeed.
Drive innovation and champion the adoption of emerging technologies and engineering practices.
Develop and execute test plans throughout the project lifecycle and perform system-level testing to validate control system performance, safety and security to customer, industry and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrate compliance with customer requirements, regulatory requirements and system specifications considering inputs from multiple subsystems.
Document systems design and development processes, including creating technical documentation, quality artifacts and user manuals.
Work with the engineering team to complete and maintain documentation of all assemblies, including generation of Bill of Material for production transition
Support regulatory compliance assessments for new markets
Develop a deep understanding of the rules and regulations, as well as International Codes and Standards as applicable to energy storage technology platforms and provide the team with regulatory support
Develop and maintain a Compliance database for the markets we serve, identify potential gaps in existing or upcoming rules and regulations, and drive towards closing those gaps by providing input to other teams
Capture regulatory requirements as well as customer technical and application requirements to shape product roadmaps
Support in developing designs to meet applicable local codes and standards
Assess grid codes and determine minimum performance thresholds of the BESS
Develop a deep understanding of energy storage technology platforms and provide product configuration guidance.
Capture customer technical and application requirements to shape product road-maps
Assist in the development and management of sales tools and support materials

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or similar technical discipline
5+ year’s professional, in-depth work experience is required, preferred in the power industry or renewable energy sector
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into Product and project requirements
Relevant experience in working in a Regulatory Compliance function, preferably in energy storage, solar, power generation or renewable energy
Knowledge of local standards, grid codes, and regulations in EMEA, APAC, and Americas
Hard working, passionate, and entrepreneurial drive, ability to prioritize and execute many parallel tasks
Strong co-ordination and communication skills
Effective in a highly collaborative yet informally structured work environment
Fluent in written and spoken English
Previous experience working with engineering or consultancy firms is a plus
Ability to solve complex technical problems and effectively communicate results
Experience developing technical and financial models using Excel and/or Matlab
Passion and entrepreneurial drive, ability to prioritize and execute many parallel tasks
Strong co-ordination and communication skills
Effective in a highly collaborative yet informally structured work environment
Demonstrated experience working in energy storage, inverter-based resources such as solar, wind together with network operators.
Willing and able to travel, domestically and internationally (expected 20% of time)
