Job Description:
The Communications Specialist – Senior, is a strategic advisor responsible for leading, developing, and executing comprehensive communications programs and campaigns. This role requires a high level of expertise to guide messaging for senior leadership, align communications with corporate objectives, and ensure consistency across all internal and external platforms. Operating with significant autonomy, the specialist provides expert counsel on complex communication challenges, including those related to mission, technology, and workforce engagement. This position is central to shaping the organization's narrative, building stakeholder trust, and driving the successful adoption of key initiatives through targeted, impactful messaging.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the strategic development and execution of multifaceted communications campaigns and programs, from conception to completion.
Function as a key advisor to senior executives, providing expert guidance on communication strategies, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
Develop and recommend various communication tools and techniques to maintain consistent messaging, improve transparency, and support leadership decision-making.
Ensure all communications initiatives and activities are aligned with overall program plans, objectives, and timelines.
Oversee and produce a wide range of high-level communication products, including talking points, speeches, newsletters, timely announcements, and official reports (e.g., WAR).
Ensure consistent themes and talking points for senior leadership engagements with internal teams, the Intelligence Community, and international partners.
Provide final review and editorial services for all strategic communications to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to Customer policy and publishing standards.
Perform and direct outreach activities to improve relationships and secure buy-in from internal and external stakeholders, including the workforce, partner agencies, and the broader enterprise.
Manage and facilitate major communications events, such as town halls, speaker engagements, and large-scale conferences (e.g., GEOINT Symposium).
Lead or facilitate discussions, workshops, and focus groups to understand stakeholder needs and articulate a clear vision for change.
Analyze communications metrics, monitor program effectiveness, and report on organizational business functions to inform strategic decisions.
Maintain a holistic awareness of organizational initiatives to connect disparate activities into a cohesive narrative for leadership and the workforce.
Execute ad hoc campaigns and tasks, adapting quickly to emerging requirements and integrating them into routine operations as needed.
Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance or higher.
