Position Summary
Senior Communications Consultant:
Bring 10+ years of relevant communications experience, ideally across AI, technology, scientific research, or similarly technical fields, with a track record of providing strategic counsel to senior leaders and researchers and translating sophisticated technical concepts for influential audiences.
Scope: Full time with potential time commitment refinement in January 2027.
Research Communications:
Help Shape the Institute’s research communications strategy, translating complex work across foundation models, AI systems, and emerging research into clear, compelling narratives for technical, industry, and broader audiences.
Partner with Institute leadership and researchers to identify high-impact research, refine positioning, and develop communications strategies around model releases, papers, benchmarks, open-source projects, and scientific milestones.
Strengthen the Institute’s external research profile, identifying opportunities to elevate researchers through top-tier media, conferences, speaking engagements, podcasts, technical communities, and other influential platforms.
Advise on major research launches and communications moments, helping shape messaging, launch strategy, stakeholder engagement, and external positioning while anticipating reputational, technical, and competitive considerations.
