As a Senior Commercial Product Manager, you will play a critical role in analyzing market landscapes, identifying opportunities, and delivering innovative general insurance, with a strong focus on device and consumer electronics protection insurance products and services, that cater to evolving customer needs for European and African markets. You will work cross-functionally with underwriting, pricing, sales, digital product, and engineering teams to ensure product viability, desirability, and successful launches from end to end.

 You will be responsible for…

  • Conducting comprehensive market research on broader general insurance and device protection and consumer electronics insurance trends across Europe and Africa, including customer needs, market trends, regulatory environment, competitor landscape.
  • Defining general insurance & device protection and consumer electronics protection product features and coverage on the above insights to support business growth activities with prospective clients as well as existing partners
  • Leading the enhancement of existing protection insurance products to optimize customer value and business performance.
  • Working closely with underwriting and pricing teams to ensure product viability and profitability while maintaining competitive positioning. Partner with sales teams to understand customer and partner requirements, ensuring product-market fit.
  • Collaborating with project management, digital product and engineering teams to oversee the development, testing, and launch of new protection programs.

  • Proficient and competent in navigating and using digital, data and technology tools and software applications relevant to role including performing basic trouble shooting strategies
  • Understands and can explain the core technology and digital platforms, applications and tools used, and offered, by bolttech (e.g.AI, API, RPA,). Able to explain how these provide competitive advantage

 You will require the following qualifications and skills                                                                                                               

  • At least 6-8 years experience with general insurance, in particular device protection, consumer electronics insurance, and insurtech trends.
  • Ability to synthesize data, conduct market analysis, and make data-driven product recommendations.
  • Experience in balancing product desirability, viability, and feasibility to achieve business objectives.
  • Track record of launching and optimizing innovative products in competitive markets.
  • Experience working with digital product and/or engineering teams, understanding technology trends and digital transformation in insurance.
  • Fluency in English

Skills Required

  • At least 6-8 years experience with general insurance, particularly device protection and consumer electronics insurance
  • Ability to synthesize data and conduct market analysis
  • Track record of launching and optimizing innovative products
