Senior Commercial Manager - Canada

We’re on a mission to improve people’s financial wellbeing around the world. With 26 million users globally, we’re one of the UK, South Africa and Australia’s leading fintechs.

Since launching in Canada in 2022, we’ve grown to more than 850,000 users, making us the fastest-growing Credit Report and Marketplace App in the market.

As Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our growth in Canada. You’ll own relationships with some of Canada’s biggest banks, financial institutions and fintechs, working closely with them to unlock new opportunities and grow our marketplace.

You’ll use your commercial judgement, knowledge of our customers and understanding of our data to spot opportunities, build the strategy and turn ideas into results. You will bring strategies to life from conception through to in-market delivery, partnering with external partners and internal teams to continuously optimize conversion and commercial outcomes

This is a role for someone who likes to own things. You’ll set the direction, make decisions, build relationships and be accountable for the numbers. You won’t be supporting the commercial strategy, you’ll help set the direction and own the numbers

You’ll report to the Head of Canada and work closely with the wider Canada leadership team, including the Commercial Executive.

What you will be doing:

  • Own commercial strategy for the Canadian Marketplace, from shaping direction to delivering against annual revenue targets
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with our major bank, financial institution and fintech partners, understanding their ambitions and challenges and working collaboratively to maximize the reach and performance of their products on the ClearScore platform
  • Negotiate commercial arrangements with new and existing partners, ensuring value created through our partnerships is appropriately shared
  • Use our rich dataset to monitor marketplace performance continuously, identify growth opportunities, and forecast the value of new initiatives for ClearScore users, our partners, and our revenue
  • Partner with Product, CRM, Analytics and Tech to prioritize and deliver initiatives that drive commercial outcomes and optimize the marketplace experience for ClearScore users
  • Responsible for the performance and day to day management of one Commercial Executive team member who will support you across the management of the marketplace

Skills we'd love you to have

  •  Significant experience in a commercially focused role, with a consistent track record of delivering results
  • Strong analytical skills and genuine curiosity for data. You can spot trends, understand what is driving them, and turn that into action
  • Proven experience managing and influencing senior stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Comfort with ambiguity, and entrepreneurial mindset, and readiness to step into full ownership from the outset
  • Proven ability to lead and align cross-functional teams without direct authority, driving initiatives through influence rather than hierarchy
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence presenting to senior and diverse audiences
  • Experience managing or mentoring direct reports, and a genuine interest in the development of those around you
  • Previous experience in any of the following would be beneficial, but is not a requirement:
    • Strategy consulting
    • A commercially focused, client-facing environment such as relationship, partner, or account management
    • A consumer finance, fintech, or B2B technology company
