Senior Cloud SDET

Role Overview:

We are looking for a team member who is passionate about validating, has a strong interest in cybersecurity and data protection, and wants to join our collaborative team as a cloud SDET to help drive our backend cloud infrastructure. This role will report to an engineering manager within the OCTO team. Cloud SDET will be responsible for automating tests, creating test plans, and ensuring the quality of cloud-based big bigdata backend systems. They work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues and contribute to the overall success of cloud deployments. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing automated testing frameworks, writing test scripts and unit tests, analyzing results, and collaborating on cloud migrations and deployments. This is a hybrid position based in Bangalore. You must be within a commutable distance from the location. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis; when not working onsite, you will work remotely from your home location.

About the role:

• Ensure the overall quality and reliability of the product by defining and implementing QA strategies, processes, and best practices.
• Set up and manage the test environment, including QA servers, to maintain consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data based on functional requirements and user stories.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, PMs, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps, to streamline quality assurance efforts.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on microservices to identify and resolve defects.

About You:

• Preferred to hold a bachelor's/master's degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud environment testing GCP or AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS/GCP and cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, POD/Node Deployment, workloads, and Dockerization.
• Proficiency in coding with Python or .Net and hands-on experience with unit testing, Coverity, and test automation frameworks with performance, load, and security testing.
• Expertise in CI/CD processes, automation across the SDLC, and cloud testing execution (AWS) using Jenkins or TeamCity, with integration into reporting tools like Jira.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various cloud environments and services.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
