We're looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect who enjoys getting into the technical detail, leading from the front and helping clients successfully navigate large-scale infrastructure and migration programmes.  
This is an opportunity to work on complex cloud, hybrid and infrastructure transformation initiatives, designing practical solutions, guiding delivery teams and helping clients move critical services safely and successfully.   You'll join a collaborative Architecture Practice where you'll influence strategic decisions, lead technical delivery and work closely with clients, engineers and senior stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing 

• Design and deliver infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Lead infrastructure migration, hosting transition and cloud migration programmes.
• Work with clients to understand business objectives and translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Provide architectural leadership throughout delivery, ensuring solutions remain aligned to business needs, technical      standards and organisational goals.
• Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Support and guide engineering teams through delivery, implementation and operational challenges.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms and services to identify the most appropriate solution for each client.
• Produce architecture documentation, decision records and technical designs.
• Lead Proof of Concept activities, technical governance and solution assurance.
• Support pre-sales activities, solution shaping and bid responses where required.
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients make informed technology decisions.

 
What We're Looking For   
Essential Experience 

• Significant experience as an Infrastructure Architect, Cloud Architect or Migration Architect.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure and cloud migration programmes.
• Strong AWS experience across infrastructure, networking and cloud services.
• Experience designing and delivering solutions across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Experience leading technical teams and providing architectural governance.
• Excellent communication, workshop facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic commercial decision-making.

  Desirable Experience 

• Data Centre Exit programmes
• Infrastructure transition and hosting migrations
• AWS migration programmes
• Crown Hosting environments
• Large-scale public sector or regulated environments
• Complex enterprise estates and legacy platforms

 
Experience working with technologies such as:

• Java
• Oracle Database
• Oracle Net
• Oracle Pro*C
• IBM AIX
