What will you be doing in this role?
- Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube for efficient and automated software deployment.
- Provide deployment support across environments, leveraging Red Hat Cluster Manager for orchestration and Openshift/Kubernetes for containerization and application deployment.
- Work with Docker and Openshift to build, deploy, and manage containerized applications.
- Configure and support ServiceMesh technology, ensuring secure and efficient service communication in microservices architectures.
- Handle deployments and builds in an on-prem VMware environment.
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical recommendations for CI/CD, infrastructure, and application deployment.
- Provide ongoing support for applications after deployment, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization.
- Leverage tools such as SonarQube for quality assurance, ensuring the integrity and security of deployed code.
- Provide hands-on support to the deployment team, including participating in troubleshooting sessions and reviewing infrastructure-related documentation.
- Interpret the application development, operations, and infrastructure implications of proposed solutions.
- Utilize architect solutions to implement end-to-end technology solutions that address client business challenges.
- Assess and optimize IT infrastructure, operations, and service delivery to improve efficiency and performance.
- Assist in designing and managing the implementation of new technologies, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- At least 10 years of experience in a relevant industry, business consulting, or technical consulting.
- Strong experience with Continuous Integration of Java applications with Maven (GitHub Actions / Jenkins / Maven / SonarQube).
- Advanced experience with container orchestration and deployment (Kubernetes, Service mesh, Helm).
- Strong experience with Artefact repositories (Artifactory, Nexus).
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Strong interest in infrastructure technologies and willingness to learn.
- Experience in data networking technologies including protocols, design, security and business continuity preferred.
- Experience of working in an agile software development environment.
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
Desirable:
- Experience in development of Java/Maven/SpringBoot applications.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with Azure Cloud provider.
- Experience with GitHub actions.
