The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the seamless integration of new software. This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management, to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with extensive experience in AWS cloud services, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Python scripting, and Ansible configuration management. The AWS Cloud Engineer will also contribute to security and compliance initiatives, helping to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, and implement enterprise-scale AWS cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement innovative cloud solutions aligned with our organization's cloud strategy.
- Optimize cloud deployments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead technical discussions, recommend best practices, and mentor junior team members on cloud engineering principles.
- Design and implement automation tools and processes for provisioning, scaling, and monitoring cloud resources.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution support for cloud-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt issue resolution.
- Keep current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of cloud-based tools and services.
- Plan and execute migrations to AWS, utilizing lift-and-shift, app modernization, and other migration strategies as needed.
- Required exp on AWS 7+ years
- Required active certification AWS DevOps Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and cloud infrastructure.
- Expertise in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, VPC, Security Groups, S3,Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Control Tower, Organizations and IAM
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and compliance best practices.
- Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, Cloud formation
- Experience in Ansible Automation
- Ability to design high available solutions on AWS across availability zones and regions.
- Experience in developing disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with working with AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Extensive experience with Redhat and SUSE Linux operating systems and administration.
- Demonstrated experience in migrating workloads to AWS, including both lift-and-shift and app modernization strategies.
