We are looking for candidates with proven work experience in database administration, development, and monitoring.
Responsibilities- Managing several RDS Aurora clusters in a PCI-DSS level environment (service provider level 1);
- Performance & tuning, backups, disaster recovery, replication, and general database architecture;
- Overall responsibility for technical operations and monitoring on the database layer, including extended support for critical production systems;
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems.
- Appropriate IT related degree or relevant experience;
- 6-10 years in DBA roles; 2-3 years in a cloud-based DBA role (AWS, RDS Aurora, etc);
- Experience in maintaining large, high-volume, high-availability production database clusters;
- Strong skills in SQL, ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries;
- Advanced knowledge in data modeling and schema design;
- Fluent English, both written and verbal;
- Enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated person with excellent communication skills;
- Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation - considered as an advantage;
- Experience with Redshift - considered as an advantage;
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc - considered as an advantage;
- Experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Redis, etc - considered as an advantage;
- Experience in payments and payment-based infrastructure - considered as an advantage.
