TFS HealthScience is a leading global mid-size Contract Research Organization (CRO) that partners with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies throughout their entire clinical development journey. Our expertise includes full-service capabilities, resourcing, and Functional Service (FSP) solutions.

We are currently seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist / Clinical Development Consultant to support an innovative biotechnology company advancing a novel program within depression and CNS research. In this flexible assignment, you will play a key role in shaping the clinical development strategy, with a particular focus on protocol and synopsis development, study design, and preparation for future clinical studies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing biotech at a pivotal stage, contributing directly to the scientific and clinical direction of its development program. The role may initially be part-time, with the potential to expand as the company progresses.
As part of our SRS/FSP team, you will be dedicated to one sponsor, a biotechnology company focused on bringing innovative treatments to patients within an area of significant unmet medical need.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the development of clinical study protocols, synopses, and related scientific documentation.

• Provide strategic input into clinical development plans, study design, endpoints, and overall development strategy.

• Support the planning of upcoming clinical studies, including scientific rationale and operational considerations.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external experts, and development partners to advance clinical programs.

• Contribute scientific and clinical expertise to support investor discussions, development decisions, and future growth plans.

• Monitor developments within depression, psychiatry, and the broader CNS landscape to inform clinical strategy.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Neuroscience, or a related scientific discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent preferred).

• Significant experience in Clinical Science, Clinical Development, Clinical Research, or related functions within biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO environments.

• Proven experience authoring or contributing to clinical protocols and study synopses.

• Experience within depression, psychiatry, CNS, neuroscience, or related therapeutic areas is strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, clinical development, and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate scientific concepts into practical development strategies.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving biotech environment.

Skills Required
