About Us

We are building the next generation of tax-advantaged separately managed accounts (SMAs) — a platform that fuses institutional-grade quantitative research, scalable technology, and hands-on client expertise. Our mission is to deliver hyper-personalized, tax-aware portfolios at scale.

We're not looking for a “relationship manager.” We’re looking for an investment athlete who can sit at the intersection of clients, quants, and code — people who are fluent in markets, comfortable in Python, and credible in front of sophisticated allocators.

The Role

As a Senior Client Portfolio Manager (CPM), you’ll translate quantitative insights into client outcomes and answers. You’ll partner with portfolio managers, engineers, and customer success representatives, to customize portfolios, explain performance and risk, and help scale a platform that is redefining wealth management. This is a high-visibility role where you’ll be trusted to:

- Engage directly with clients/advisors as an ambassador of the SMA platform.

- Interpret portfolio data — exposures, tax trades, drift, risk — and explain in a way clients can act on.

- Run analyses in Python (pull time series, diagnose factor exposures, validate tax trades, build quick diagnostic dashboards).

- Collaborate with research and engineering teams to translate client needs into features and workflow improvements.

- Proactively monitor accounts for opportunities: tax-loss harvesting, transitions, customization, compliance with restrictions.

What We're Looking For

- 3+ years experience in asset management, wealth management, or investment consulting with direct client responsibility.

- Strong command of equity markets, factor risk, and tax-aware investing.

- Hands-on Python skills — you don’t need to be an engineer, but you must be able to slice data, run analyses, and speak the same language as quants and developers.

- Ability to context-switch between technical deep dives and client-ready narratives.

- Proven record of earning trust with sophisticated clients/advisors.

- CFA charterholder, or equivalent advanced credential preferred.

Why Join

- Impact: Help define the future of tax-aware SMAs.

- Exposure: Work alongside leading investment, quant, and fintech professionals.

- Growth: Rapid career trajectory in a high-visibility, high-growth business.

- Culture: Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and relentlessly client-focused.

What We Do

Brooklyn Investment Group is an SEC Registered Investment Adviser that leverages the technology of its parent company, Brooklyn Artificial Intelligence Research, a pioneer in building A.I. that understands human preferences through natural language. This technology is combined with institutional-grade portfolio optimization and automated tax-loss harvesting to power personalized portfolios for clients. Over the past five years, Brooklyn Artificial Intelligence Research has developed one of the world’s most powerful A.I. engines for customizing investment portfolios and more than $5 billion has been traded on portfolios created by its A.I. to date. Our growing team of 15+ quant investors, machine learning researchers, software engineers and regulatory experts comes from top financial institutions and universities. Brooklyn Investment Group was co-founded by John Nay and Erkko Etula to empower independent financial advisors to thrive in the digital era where personalization and access to crypto unlock client engagement and growth. What's behind the name? We’re the Brooklyn Investment Group. Our name honors Brooklyn, NY, which for us symbolizes independence, and the aspiration to innovate. Brooklyn is fueled by the vision, energy, and intelligence of its many entrepreneurs — individuals with purpose, impacting not only markets, but culture at large. We hope to make a similar impact. Brooklyn is unlike any other investment advisor, built on both investment experience — our CIO formerly served some of the wealthiest families in the world, advising them on hundreds of billions of dollars of investments — and an AI technology platform refined by our CEO over several years, powering billions of dollars of trading in the process.
