We are now looking for a Senior Client Platform Developer to join our growing Stockholm team. In this role, you will take a leading technical responsibility for our client-facing platforms and tools, helping shape architecture, drive best practices, and ensure a high-quality experience for players and internal teams.

The Role

Your key responsibilities include:

Technical Ownership & Architecture

• Own and evolve core client-side platform components, including in-game UI systems and client-communication layers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around scalability, maintainability, and long-term platform strategy.
• Identify technical debt and proactively drive improvements and refactors.

Platform Integration & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Lead and design client-side integrations between our games, external platforms, and third-party studios using our OpenRGS platform.
• Act as a technical partner to backend teams, ensuring coherent end-to-end platform architecture.
• Provide guidance and best practices for external studios integrating with our platform.

Tooling, Automation & Developer Experience

• Design, build, and maintain internal tooling (e.g. mock clients, launchers, automation scripts, CI helpers) to improve developer productivity and reliability.
• Advocate for better workflows and testing strategies.

Technical Leadership & Support

• Serve as a go-to expert for complex platform-related issues, supporting developers, QA, and tech support.
• Drive root-cause analysis of production issues and help define preventative measures.
• Mentor less-experienced developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

UX & Quality Focus

• Ensure high-quality user experiences by balancing technical constraints with UX and visual polish.
• Collaborate with designers and product stakeholders to ensure robust and user-friendly client solutions.

What We’re Looking For:

Senior-Level Experience

• Several years of professional experience developing complex web or client-side applications in production environments.
• Proven ability to take ownership of systems and make sound technical decisions with long-term impact.

Strong Technical Foundation

• Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or similar languages.
• Solid understanding of modern web technologies, including browser APIs, cross-origin communication (postMessage, CORS), WebSockets, and real-time client-server communication.

Problem Solving & Debugging

• Advanced debugging skills using browser DevTools, network inspection, and API tools (Postman or equivalent).
• Ability to reason about complex distributed systems and client-server interactions.

Communication & Collaboration

• Comfortable explaining technical concepts and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working cross-functionally and influencing decisions beyond your immediate team.

Ownership Mindset

• Proactive, service-minded, and comfortable driving initiatives independently.
• Willing to challenge existing solutions and suggest improvements when appropriate.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Haxe.
• Experience with Git, TypeScript, React, Linux, Bash, npm, Bun, Docker, Cucumber, GitLab CI, and AWS.
• Experience working with web-facing C# systems.
• Previous experience in platform teams, SDK development, or supporting external developers.
