Sr. Capture Manager

Manage all aspects of the competitive capture process from initial customer and industry engagement through contract transition. A successful candidate will have experience:

  • Collaborate with customers, and internal and external partners to create, refine and validate winning offerings.

Sr. Capture Manager Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develops the bid strategy, keeping senior management briefed on bid progress, and leads complex and large captures through the proposal contributors across the different functions.

  • Leverages capture framework, capture plan, and best practices to increase probability of win in each phase

  • Develops and implements customer call plan and shaping strategy. 

  • Develops and implements teaming strategy using internal capabilities assessments, gap analysis, and subcontractor capabilities matrices.

  • Interacts routinely with all levels of management, functional POCs, staff, and customers, and follows through on tasking with excellent time management. 

  • Conducts after action reviews for all business opportunity capture participants to document lessons learned and identifies and implements necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions to refine bid strategies to enhance proposal readiness.

  • Participates in and/or attends bidder conferences, oral presentations and site surveys.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

 

Sr. Capture Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

  • Bachelor's Degree 

  • at least 12 years of related experience such as program management, business development, account management or capture management 

  • a minimum of 7 years of leading federal contract capture experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 

  • Must have experience in winning large and complex captures exceeding $100M TPV. 

  • Advanced knowledge of government and military contracts, GSA and FAR with demonstrated ability in implementation of Shipley process.

  • Demonstrated expertise in business development knowledge including opportunity qualification, strategy development, consultative skills.

  • Proven leadership skills in developing, organizing and executing significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability and ensuring timely execution of customer call plans to win business with new and existing customers. 

  • Demonstrable understanding of all contract types (e.g., non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus).

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems 

  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to use automated tools and applications including Salesforce, Microsoft Office and Teams to present ideas, information and reports.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of business acumen. 

  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to present to both small and large groups.

  • Ability to apply advance training and knowledge in Capture Management and Win Strategies is preferred. 

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
