Looking for a new opportunity to sharpen your Software Engineer skills in a challenging and vibrant environment? We are looking for a skilled C# Software Engineer, able to look beyond the borders of software engineering with an interest in physics, opto mechanics and more. We are Optical Column Software within the Process Window Detection Cluster and responsible for developing software on the Optical Column of the Yieldstar. Coming years there are many challenging improvements planned where we need you for to make them happen!
 

Role and responsibilities

At Yieldstart Optical Column Software, you’ll join the group as a C# Software Engineer. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the software that drives the performance of our optical metrology systems. Our systems are critical to our customer’ manufacturing processes and are integrated into fab-wide MES environments.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full end-to-end ownership of feature and story-based software development, from refinement through delivery to maintenance.

  • Collaboratively align specifications with stakeholders in the function teams and the software platform teams to ensure shared understanding and technical coherence.

  • Safeguard both software quality and overall product quality by applying robust engineering practices and reviewing team contributions.

  • Realize high-quality software through disciplined design, thorough testing and clear, maintainable documentation.

  • Act as a buddy in pair-programming sessions, helping elevate code quality and strengthening team learning.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the software development process for the broader department.

  • Share knowledge proactively with colleagues across D&E and customer-facing sectors such as Customer Support to ensure smooth operational alignment.
     

Education and experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.

  • 4+ years experience in C#

  • Experience with Software Engineering in a hardware environment

  • Hands-on practice with Test-Driven Development (TDD), consistently applying disciplined testing habits throughout the development cycle.
