Job Description:
As a Sr Business Technical Analyst you are required to handle requirements, review, and provide feedback related to product design from multiple vendors and lead/support testing for multiple cross functional back-office projects from conception to completion, partnering with multiple collaborators including product teams, vendors and McD internal departments (Technology, Operations, HR & Legal).
The individual will be responsible for supporting the Product Management team in defining, prioritizing, and developing capabilities for McDonald's US Workforce Management Solutions. You will work with the vendor and product teams to write requirements and acceptance criteria for features on the product roadmap and help ensure feature acceptance during the development lifecycle. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining product documentation and aiding in the UAT testing process.
This role requires experience with requirement gathering (both Waterfall and Agile) and collaborating effectively with Vendors, Product Managers and other internal team members on testing and delivering capabilities per defined requirements.
Accountabilities and Responsibilites
- Write feature clarifications and help maintain an organized product backlog.
- Build and update documents required as part of the product development lifecycle, in close coordination with product, technical and business teams (business & functional requirements for feature development, functional test scripts, and process documents).
- Assist in creating and maintaining documentation of project plans utilized for new feature releases, communication, training, and deployment.
- Assist UAT Leads performing analysis, designing/creating test cases, and execution/acceptance of user acceptance test criteria.
- Assist with field testing when necessary. Provide business process and technical direction to the support team when needed.
- Shepherd features from definition through completion using Jira.
- Assist with application production support issues/defects as escalated to Workforce Management team. Provide product insights and technical direction to support teams as needed.
- Review and prioritize defects impacting customers.
- Serve as a point-person for product questions and be able to dig deep into problems to help find a solution.
- Assist in prioritizing the roadmap with the product and technology team leads.
Qualifications:
- Experience working on customer-facing products preferred.
- Experience working on Restaurant Application products preferred.
- Passionate about technology, with an aim to build products that customers love to use.
- Detail-obsessed and able to meet deadlines.
- Curious and a self-starter with a strong bias for action; Proven track record of "getting things done".
- Analytics mentality with experience working with data to uncover insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, solid ability to translate technical verbiage into easily understandable language.
- Excellent collaboration and issue resolution skills.
- Technical development and data integration skills are a plus.
- Experienced testing background with a high attention to detail is desirable.
