We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with product owners, architects, and developers to drive the success of our technology initiatives. You will be responsible for managing backlogs, defining user stories, and facilitating agile development processes, as well as supporting the implementation, testing, and training of stakeholders to ensure seamless solution adoption. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence technology strategy and drive impactful change across the organization. You will also have opportunities to mentor others and grow your expertise in emerging technologies. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of hands-on business analysis experience are preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding communication and organizational abilities, and possess a strong familiarity with agile methodologies, APIs, and project management tools.
Major Job Functions:
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and document requirements for new features, optimizations, and service improvements.
- Work with software architects and developers to develop user stories, process diagrams, and other models to clarify the desired solutions.
- Participate in an agile scrum team, leading story grooming sessions and contributing to sprint planning.
- Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog, balancing urgent production needs with long-term enhancements.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing for both fixes and new features, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
- Work closely with change management and stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of platform updates.
- Continuously evaluate user adoption and feedback to identify opportunities for ongoing optimization.
- Support retrospectives and contribute to lessons learned, ensuring solutions improve both business outcomes and user experiences.
- Establish, track and analyze KPI's and statistics related to application adoption, usage and efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as requested and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in analyzing processes, supporting operations, or contributing to system improvements; prior business analyst experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to work effectively across technical teams, business stakeholders and product leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with outstanding problem-solving ability.
- Experience with Scrum (or another agile methodology) software development team.
- Knowledge of API's and software development life cycle.
- Expertise with agile project management software (Version 1, Rally, Jira)
- Experience with Visio is a plus
- CSM or CSPO certification is a plus
- A college degree (BS or MS) - desired, but not required
