Job Description

You will form part of RMM within the Mass Foundation Cluster which is one of the largest customer-facing business segments in Old Mutual. This role involves monitoring compliance activities, maintaining documentation, assisting with audits, and providing administrative support to compliance officers and insurance teams. The administrator helps ensure the company operates within the legal framework set by regulators such as the FSCA, and complies with legislation including FAIS, FICA, the Insurance Act, and the Financial Sector Regulation Act.

  • Develop and own Human Capital processes including compliance and legislative processes.

  • Review processes and identify gaps and root cause analysis for business enhancement and control measures through testing regarding risk management, compliance and business continuity processes.

  • Develop automated reporting tools to measure effectiveness of implemented solutions.

  • Develop communication to ensure alignment of processes and changes effectively communicated with agile approach.

  • Facilitate changes within the environment and legislation to improve compliance and adherence.

  • Coach and train users to provide improved customer satisfaction to the business across all channels.

  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLA) to track, monitor and report on activity.

  • Manage reporting of segment goals such as Employment Equity, Audits and Headcount.

  • Develop communication to ensure alignment of processes and changes.

  • Facilitate changes within the environment and legislation to improve compliance and adherence.

  • Coach and train users to provide improved customer satisfaction to the business across all channels.

  • Performance Excellence process driven annually across business channels for Mass & Foundation Cluster.

  • Employment Equity scorecard & targets driven annually to ensure a competent level status for the organization.

  • Identify gaps and remediation action through newly developed ongoing vetting process namely rescue to ensure representative and Key Individuals are appointed and remain Fit & Proper.

  • Create Business review documents and manage all changes effectively and efficient through change management in order to maintain compliant as a business.

  • Monitor and Track to ensure Reporting on all the required measures implemented are accurate.

  • Provide analysis on our trends and where non-compliance identified to apply business corrective action plans.

  • Ensure all FAIS related roles are reflecting accurately on our representative register to the registrar.

  • Keep track of the registration of Key Individuals and provide updates to Key Individuals Forum Quarterly and Risk & Compliance.

Requirements:

  • Matric

  • 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative or compliance support role within the South African insurance or financial services industry.

  • Familiarity with South African insurance legislation and regulatory frameworks such as FAIS, FICA, Insurance Act, and FSRA.

  • Experience with compliance monitoring, documentation management, and audit processes.
