We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets. 

We are seeking a passionate Senior Business-oriented Data Analytics Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in being the trusted partner to business stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making across Drug Development Domain. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

You will be joining the Drug Development Data Domain (4D) team consisting of 3 colleagues, and report directly to People Leader in Global IT, Babak Bajelan and Global Head of Digitalization, Ivanna Rosendal who are based in Hellerup, Denmark. You will be based in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
  • Design & develop data products that drive business value and decisions.
  • Explore and transform complex data into insights with fit-for-purpose analytics
  • Collaborate across teams to build end-to-end solutions
  • Ensure data products align with data governance, compliance, and quality standards

Qualifications and Skills:

You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master’s Degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science or related field – and 5+years of experience within Data & Analytics.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Proven experience in gathering and transforming business requirements into data products
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps, Databricks, dbt, Python and T-SQL
  • Experience in designing & delivering solutions using Power BI or similar BI platforms
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance
  • Ability to understand business data & processes and create rapid prototypes

Pharma domain knowledge is a plus.

Skills Required
