BSSP, a fast, modern, independent west coast agency that solves business challenges with unexpected ideas,is looking for a Sr. BI Analyst. Our Sr. BI Analyst is responsible for data collection, organization, normalization and analysis which will contribute to the creation of marketing campaign performance reports and more importantly the trends, insights, and recommendations that will help drive business. They will be responsible for working with various types of data sources, including online and offline advertising data, website tracking data, and consumer demographic and behavioral data. The Sr. BI Analyst will be part of a larger, cross agency team so they will need to be able to represent our department and agency.
In addition, you will be a key player in the continuing development of our data management system and be responsible for monitoring data hygiene, producing reporting dashboards, survey analysis, segmentation, web analytics, and secondary research as needed
What you will do:
- Identify campaign KPIs and develop projections of results based on campaign parameters
- Collaborate with digital media, ad operations, and communications teams to ensure that appropriate tracking, tagging, and measurement methodologies are in place prior to campaign launches
- Integrate data from multiple platforms and sources in order to tell the story of how the client's business is performing. What's working? What's not? What do we recommend they do about it?
- Develop and update online interactive dashboards and visualizations that evaluate marketing performance (for internal and client use)
- Have sufficient familiarity with each media and platform in order to make initial optimization recommendations to the digital media and communications teams
- Understand measurement methodology of key platforms and media tracking
- Be the go-to person who the rest of the data team can lean on to manage and troubleshoot BSSP’s current data stack (Improvado, Snowflake, Tableau)
What you will need:
- MS in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Psychology, or other quantitative field preferred
- 3-5 years experience working with marketing and web analytics data or proven competency in working with similar datasets
- Proficient with SQL, Tableau, Python, R, Excel, and Google Sheets
- Proficient administering and querying databases (e.g. Snowflake)
- Proficient manipulating complicated data sets (e.g. cleansing, merging, transposing, pivoting, etc.)
- Experience with Improvado, Google Analytics, Facebook/Meta for Business, Google Ads/SA360, and Campaign Manager 360
- A curious and creative mindset
- Strong logical thinking skills and ability to implement technical solutions
- A continuous desire to learn
- Proactive and self-motivated with a critical eye for detail
- Experience manipulating messy data and merging large complicated data sets
- Strong written and oral communication skills
