Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) Business Development & Strategy Team is looking for an outstanding Senior Business Development & Strategy Representative (Level 4 or 5) to support the Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) market strategy-to-action process and team. This position will be located in Tukwila, WA.
This role's objectives include maximizing P-8 Poseidon platform sales, proactively defining and shaping capability growth and corresponding platform requirements, executing investment allocation, and driving to campaign wins with both domestic US Navy and international military customers.
Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead win-win negotiations with partners, suppliers, and customers, advocating customer requirements and securing quality deals.
  • Balance enterprise, business unit, and customer goals to drive the Long Range Business Plan (LRBP).
  • Build and lead teams to amplify impact and deliver on the statement of work.
  • Develop innovative solutions that challenge the status quo and support leading-edge technologies and defense franchises.
  • Leverage deep understanding of customer and Boeing needs to align resources, drive sales campaigns, and foster business growth.
  • Craft and execute campaign strategies, secure resources, and monitor progress through defined metrics.
  • Research competitors and market dynamics to enhance Boeing's competitive position.
  • Establish and maintain trusted customer relationships and broad networks to address needs and identify new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate internal and external processes to develop customer solutions with competitive advantage and acceptable margins.
  • Lead proposal development by defining themes, securing resources, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
  • Develop strategies and tactics informed by customer insights, Boeing capabilities, and competitive environment to support business growth.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working within or with Military or DoD/DoW customers
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • Experience engaging in senior level communication including presentation development and report outs
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Current US Secret or Top-Secret clearance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience crafting capture plans / major sales campaigns
  • 10+ years of experience working with Department of War (DoW) and international equivalents, budget and/or acquisition process
  • Experience working with the foreign military sales (FMS) and direct commercial sales (DCS) process
  • Knowledge / experience working with US Navy Maritime Patrol (P-3 / P-8) community
  • Knowledge of emerging ASW, ISR, and C4I technologies
  • Ability to develop operational / marketing plans, define and manage program funds, and white papers for customer engagement
  • Understanding of global industry-related market trends as well as customer opportunities
  • Identify and align win strategies to the customer's most important requirements,
    differentiate our offer in the market and drive Long Range Business Plans (LRBP)
  • History of cultivating partnerships / strategic collaborations or innovative business models
  • Level 4 & 5: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Level 4: $129,200 - $174,800
Level 5: $164,050 - $221,950
