Senior Business Development Representative

 The Senior Business Development Representative (SBDR) is a Player/Coach role in the Opportunity Generation Organization and is vital to the Sales & Marketing process and is tasked with qualifying leads through outbound cold calling. This Player/Coach will have dual responsibility of individual target and coaching and mentoring a team of Business Development Representative based in our Mumbai office. It will be the responsibility of this individual to ensure all BDR’s in region receive proper training, facilitate onboarding for new joiners, are in line for quarterly targets, this is on top of hitting his or her own targets as well.

WHY IS THIS JOB IMPORTANT? Business Development Specialists are playing a crucial part in our Sales workflow, being often the first point of contact for buyers that are interested in our offering. It's their scope to understand and judge the expectations and incoming queries and through cold calling, and in the end determine if we can proceed to enter our sales funnel for the next steps. Not to mention the importance of building rapport with potential clients and sharing with them our story.

Primary responsibilities:  

·        Investigate and research Target Accounts to gain a working understanding of the business, identify key challenges and market motivators for needing a LSEG service, product and/or solution  

·        Proactively identify contacts within each account related to defined campaigns or growth opportunities

·        Review, action and execute prioritized outbound contacts for each account and/or across various financial institutions, client types and geographical regions

·        Effectively leverage and use sales engagement tools, system and processes, including but not limited to LSEG’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system, Sales Automation platform and predictive marketing insight data

·        Generate sales opportunities within target accounts

Coach and mentor the new joiners in the team

Looking after learning and development of new hires in the team

Secondary responsibilities: 

·        Identify, establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across sales, marketing and operations to support effective target account growth and collaborative success outcomes 

·        Take responsibility for ongoing learning and development relating to LSEG’s services, products and solutions and maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations 

·        Identify market trends and translate them into Outbound marketing and prospecting campaigns 

·        Champion LSEG’s services, products and solutions to strengthen the company’s brand and market position internally with key stakeholders, existing and/or new clients  

WHAT TO BRING? • Passion about People Management: mentoring, experience in training delivery, communication for results, constructive feedback, supporting career development • Previous experience in leading workstream or a project group will be desirable • Proved record of stakeholder management • Outstanding client contact skills with the ability to establish trust over the phone and other remote channels • Be able to clearly articulate the 'business justification' and 'what's in it for the client' when discussing potential needs • Ability to present the benefits of the company’s products and services to potential clients in a concise and pointed manner that develops greater product curiosity • Experience with sales, training, or customer service environment with high inbound/outbound call volumes, and aggressive revenue and sales targets
