Your Adventure Ahead
- Lead daily outbound prospecting efforts to identify, engage, and acquire high-potential Tier 1 merchants across key industries
- Manage the full commercial cycle from lead generation, pitching, and negotiation to closing deals, onboarding merchants and Go-To-Market Plan
- Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand ShopBack Pay’s footprint and build strategic partnerships
- Maintain a structured and accurate sales pipeline, ensuring consistent deal flow and effective revenue forecasting
- Using Salesforce to track progress, optimize sales workflows, and maintain sales pipeline hygiene
- Work closely with marketing, account management, operations, and tech teams to execute growth strategies and enhance merchant experiences
- Contributing ideas and driving initiatives to scale merchant adoption rate and solidify our first mover advantage in Malaysia
- Setting a good example and a ‘coach’ to other BD Managers, fostering a high-performance sales culture within the team
Essentials to Succeed
- At least 5 - 8 years of experience in sales and business development.
- Strong network in our key categories (i.e. Food & Beverage/ Grocery /Fashion/ Pharmacy)
- Able to think out of the box in conceptualizing ideas for merchant acquisition and management – creativity and logical thinking would be key!
- Strong experience in managing channel partnership
- Self-motivated and driven to excel and deliver.
- Must be comfortable with C-level negotiations and have relationships with top decision makers.
