Delta Capita is seeking an experienced Senior Business Data Consultant to support our client’s large-scale reference data and data quality programme within a leading investment banking environment.

This position will involve working closely with a Programme Manager to analyse and document client data quality issues across multiple asset classes within a front office/investment banking environment. The role is heavily focused on data investigation, root cause analysis, and supporting the definition of remediation strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Systematically documenting and analysing client reference data quality issues

  • Mapping data flows, sources, and ownership across asset classes (credit, rates, FX, etc.)

  • Performing root cause analysis (technology, process, governance, ownership gaps)

  • Maintaining structured data issue logs with impact assessments and recommendations

  • Supporting the development of remediation roadmaps and prioritisation frameworks

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate findings

  • Contributing to data readiness initiatives (including AI-related use cases)

  • Producing clear documentation (issue logs, data dictionaries, process flows, reports)

Ideal profile:

  • Extensive experience in data or business analysis within investment banking / capital markets

  • Strong understanding of client reference data and data lifecycle

  • Experience working across multiple FIC asset classes

  • Strong data literacy (SQL, data structures, data modelling concepts)

  • Proven ability to analyse complex data issues end-to-end

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

  • Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, or MDM is beneficial
