Business Analyst
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services technology, with the ability to independently facilitate requirements gathering and design collaboration meetings across a multi-tenant, microservices-based banking platform. This role requires familiarity with RESTful APIs, integration projects, and AI-assisted BA workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for branch banking and teller platform development.
- Facilitate requirements gathering and design collaboration meetings to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and understood.
- Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Work closely with developers and architects to review API contracts and integration specifications.
- Document integration requirements with core banking and enterprise middleware systems.
- Manage and track project progress, ensuring adherence to Agile project lifecycle controls.
- Write test cases, user personas, and user journeys; validate developed features using Postman and UAT scripts.
- Leverage AI tools (GitHub Copilot or similar) for research, document generation, use case elaboration, and test plan creation.
- Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in a technology-focused Business Analyst role.
- 3+ years of business experience within financial services or banking.
- Proven ability to independently facilitate complex requirements gathering and design collaboration sessions.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Experience on integration projects involving complex enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Solid understanding of requirement engineering processes.
- Experience writing detailed test cases, personas, and user journeys.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM-assisted productivity tools (GitHub Copilot or similar) for BA workflows.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
- Branch/retail banking experience is preferred.
