About This Job
This position supports Accounting & Finance priorities, primarily focused on Jack Henry Silverlak (JHA), while providing supplemental project support for LoanIQ integrations, Loan Data Mart report requirements, finance systems initiatives, testing, reconciliations, reporting, and production support. The Senior Business Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders in A&F, technology teams, and operational partners. The role supports business analysis, systems enhancements, testing coordination, reporting, governance, reconciliations, and process improvement across banking, lending, treasury, accounting, workflow, reporting, and financial data platforms. The position also leverages AI-enabled tools to improve documentation, analysis, testing, reporting, operational efficiency, and Finance modernization efforts.Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Project Support
- Gather and document business requirements.
- Support Finance and Accounting transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate testing, defect management, and user acceptance testing.
- Support project tracking, sprint management, and delivery activities.
Operational Work Management
- Create and maintain Azure DevOps PBIs, Spikes, and work items.
- Convert ServiceNow requests into actionable requirements.
- Monitor backlog health, aging items, and work allocation.
- Maintain complete and audit-ready documentation.
Governance & Change Management
- Manage change requests and implementation activities.
- Ensure compliance with governance, approval, audit, and control requirements.
- Support change advisory and governance forums.
- Support user access requests and JHA Client Portal submissions.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop and maintain operational and management reporting.
- Monitor work item status, backlog aging, and workload trends.
- Support JHA reporting, dashboard maintenance, and data analysis activities.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), business and functional requirements, process maps, test cases, training materials, and other project documentation.
- Create and maintain current-state and future-state process documentation to support business transformation and system implementation initiatives.
- Facilitate Business Process Management (BPM) activities, including value stream mapping, process analysis, and process improvement recommendations.
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases to support system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Create and deliver end-user training documentation, job aids, and knowledge transfer materials to support adoption and operational readiness.
- Maintain SharePoint sites, knowledge repositories, and project documentation libraries, ensuring information is current, organized, and accessible.
- Ensure all documentation accurately reflects approved business processes, controls, governance requirements, and operational procedures.
- Support audit, compliance, and governance activities by maintaining complete, accurate, and traceable documentation artifacts.
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate access requests, environment activities, and system support tasks.
- Support recurring operational and release-related activities.
- Assist with production support and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting financial systems, banking operations, or enterprise technology initiatives.
- Strong experience with Jack Henry (JHA) platforms, including support for Accounting & Finance processes, general ledger, deposits, loans, interfaces, reconciliations, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Proven experience facilitating Agile delivery, including requirements gathering, process analysis, sprint planning, backlog management, and creation of user stories and Product Backlog Items (PBIs).
- Experience using Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and reporting and analytics tools to manage requirements, defects, enhancements, and production support activities.
- Working knowledge of Accounting & Finance processes, including loan and deposit operations, reconciliations, financial reporting, controls, and data integrity requirements.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, integrations, conversions, and user acceptance testing (UAT) within banking and financial services environments.
- Familiarity with SDLC, change management, SOX-compliant controls, audit requirements, and governance-driven development processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Accounting, Finance, Operations, Technology, and vendor teams
