As a Senior Business Analyst, you will serve as the storyteller behind the numbers, partnering with leaders across the organization to uncover insights, drive financial performance, and identify opportunities for growth. This role combines strategic thinking, financial analysis, and business intelligence to transform complex data into actionable recommendations. You'll play a key role in shaping business strategy through forecasting, performance reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own & manage recurring financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Analyze retail sales performance to identify trends, risks, & business growth opportunities
- Evaluate channel performance and provide actionable insights to optimize results
- Assess customer, product, and promotional performance to support data-driven decision making
- Build and manage data models using Excel, Power BI, SQL, & other analytical tools
- Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable reporting solutions and dashboards
- Translate complex data into clear business insights and executive-level recommendations
- Partner cross-functionally with various departments and key stakeholders to support strategic initiatives
- Monitor key business metrics; supporting business planning & decision making through ad hoc analysis, reporting, and financial modeling
- Other duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in analysis
- Skilled in Financial Analysis
- Skilled in Business Performance Analysis
- Expert in Excel & Data Modeling
- Proficient in Power BI Development
- Proficient in SQL query
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in retail, consumer products, toys, seasonal merchandise, or multi-channel ecommerce
- Expert in Power BI
- Expert SQL skill
- Experience partnering cross functionally with Sales, Merchandising, Operations, Supply Chain, & Finance Leadership
- Skilled in statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, and exposure to data modeling
