Leobit (leobit.com) is a full-cycle web and mobile application development provider serving technology companies and startups primarily in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and the EU (including Switzerland and Sweden). Our technology expertise spans .NET, Angular, iOS, Android, Ruby, React, and a wide range of Microsoft, Web, and Mobile technologies.
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a strong product mindset to join our team.
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping product vision, leading discovery activities, and translating business needs into clear, high-quality requirements. You will work closely with customers and delivery teams to ensure effective solution design, and support both delivery and pre-sales initiatives.
Location: Lviv
Requirements:
- 5 years of Business Analysis experience in software development projects (at least), ideally including client-facing roles (consulting, solutions engineering, agency delivery, or technical business analysis) where you owned stakeholder relationships directly
- Strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, and requirements management
- Proven requirements-gathering experience with non-technical stakeholders — able to extract what people actually need, not just what they ask for
- Experience leading discovery activities, stakeholder workshops, and (ideally) pre-sales engagements
- Experience analyzing complex systems, integrations, APIs, and business processes
- Proficiency in process modeling, prototyping, and requirements visualization techniques
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and reporting capabilities
- Understanding of UI/UX best practices and digital product development
- Real, current experience with AI-assisted development and building LLM-powered features (working with model APIs, prompt design, evaluating output quality), with the ability to identify business use cases
- Hands-on ability to ship working software independently — e.g., a functional internal web app with a database behind it, delivered end to end
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills — comfortable presenting to executives and translating both directions between business and engineering
- Self-directed and organized, able to manage multiple initiatives and drive decisions in a client-facing environment with broad ownership across multiple business teams
- BA, Scrum, Product Ownership, or related certifications (would be a plus)
- Ecommerce or retail domain experience — catalog/product data, orders, fulfillment, promotions (would be a plus)
- Experience with PIM, OMS, ERP, or similar internal business systems (would be a plus)
- C#/.NET or Vue exposure (would be a plus)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science (or similar technical field)
- Level of English: Upper-Intermediate (at least)
Responsibilities:
- Own business analysis and requirements gathering for the client's ecommerce platform: work directly with internal teams (merchandising, operations, finance, marketing, customer experience) to understand workflows, pain points, and priorities
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed, engineering-ready functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for system enhancements, bug fixes, and new features
- Lead discovery activities, including problem definition, requirements elicitation, solution exploration, prioritization, and MVP scope definition
- Maintain the backlog (Asana on the client side), ensuring proper prioritization, ordering, dependency mapping, and alignment with business objectives; conduct backlog refinement sessions with client stakeholders and the delivery team
- Perform story decomposition following INVEST criteria and standard practices; elicit non-functional requirements from technical stakeholders
- Maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including system communication, UI copy, and other project artifacts; ensure baseline documentation is updated following requirement changes
- Create and maintain visual supporting materials such as wireframes, user flows, process diagrams, data flow diagrams, and UI/UX prototypes
- Analyze complex business processes, system integrations, APIs, and data flows to ensure proposed solutions align with business and technical requirements
- Be the bridge between business users and engineers: run demos, manage expectations, communicate timelines and trade-offs in plain language, and close the loop when work ships
- Build with AI, hands-on: use AI-assisted development tools to independently deliver small-to-mid-sized internal applications — for example, a product information management (PIM) tool — end to end
- Identify and prototype AI-powered functionality: spot opportunities to apply LLMs and automation to business workflows (content generation, data enrichment, internal assistants), build proofs of concept, and carry successful ones to production with the team
- Define acceptance criteria with QA and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders before release; transform feedback into actionable backlog items
- Organize and facilitate requirements workshops, discovery sessions, walkthroughs, and technical review meetings
- Establish and own an efficient change management process; ensure changes to project baselines are communicated to, assessed, and approved by key stakeholders
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate business, operational, and technological risks; participate in bug triage and release planning activities
- Monitor and maintain release scope, versioning, and requirement traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Advise development and QA teams during implementation, resolve product and process blockers, and support effective decision-making throughout delivery
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including discovery workshops, solution scoping, effort estimation support, and proposal preparation
- Mentor junior Business Analysts and contribute to business analysis standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing within the company
- Interesting and challenging projects
- Competitive compensation and regular results-based salary review
- A broad range of professional education and personal development possibilities
- Comfortable and cozy working environment
- Motivated colleagues with profound knowledge of the technical field
