Position Summary:

The ideal candidate combines deep enterprise networking expertise with experience in broadcast, media, or other mission-critical live environments. This person must be comfortable troubleshooting complex systems in real time, collaborating closely with Broadcast and IT teams, and serving as a senior technical resource when reliability and response time are critical.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced broadcast network engineer to play a key role supporting a sophisticated live sports production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Cisco-based SMPTE ST 2110 broadcast networks and Evertz Magnum SDVN environments

  • Configure and troubleshoot multicast technologies, including IGMP, PIM Sparse Mode, SSM, and multicast boundary controls

  • Support Precision Time Protocol (PTP), IEEE 1588, and timing distribution for broadcast workflows

  • Support Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, UCS, Catalyst Center, Wireless LAN Controllers, and related infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, QoS, VRFs, ACLs, and multicast networking

  • Monitor network health and proactively identify and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during rehearsals and live events, including time-sensitive issues that may directly impact broadcast operations

  • Collaborate closely with Broadcast Engineering, IT, production teams, and other technical stakeholders

  • Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to performance, resiliency, and scalability

  • Provide technical support during scheduled maintenance and preparation days as needed.

  • Serve as a senior technical escalation resource and provide guidance to other technical team members when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting high-bandwidth, multicast-heavy, and/or low-latency network environments

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under significant time pressure

  • Ability to work independently and serve as a senior technical escalation resource

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working across Broadcast, IT, engineering, and production teams

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes live production environment

  • Ability to work on-site in Inglewood, California for scheduled events and support days

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late nights based on the event and production schedule
