Senior BreederWhat will you do?You will be part of the pepper non-heated breeding department in Spain. As a Senior Breeder, you will be responsible to develop and maintain a competitive breeding program that aligns with Enza’s long-term vision, ensuring the development of commercially successful pepper varieties. The key responsibilities include,• Translation of Pepper Breeding Strategies into a tactical and operational breeding goals and implementation.•Create and maintain a breeding pipeline capable of addressing short and long-term market needs.• Ensure trial placements are in line with crop objectives and market requirements. - Master's or PhD in plant breeding, genetics, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in plant breeding. Experience in row field crops is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of plant breeding, modern methods of breeding, including quantitative genetics and phytopathology.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills. Works well in a team environment.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical skills
- A thorough understanding of English, both verbal and written is required.
- Travel will be required (International/ Domestic). You can work under intense weather conditions.
