The Senior Braze Optimization & Strategy Lead provides senior platform expertise during a critical client launch and early optimization phase. This is a high-authority role focused on architectural validation, optimization leadership, and client-facing credibility by accelerating internal team capability while ensuring program soundness from day one.

This role brings battle-tested platform judgment to a live client environment by validating architecture, anticipating failure points, and establishing the optimization frameworks that turn a successful launch into a sustainable program.

Beyond the platform itself, this role strengthens OneMagnify's delivery capacity in real time. By coaching the internal team through live decisions rather than hypothetical training, the role shifts the team from correction to confident self-validation, building durable capability. The work is visible, senior, and client-facing; the kind of platform credibility that gives clients confidence and gives internal teams air cover to deliver well.

What You’ll Do:
  • Audit and validate Braze architecture, event taxonomy, trigger logic, and journey design for long-term scalability and maintainability
  • Identify common post-launch failure points, including data integrity issues, journey sprawl, trigger misuse, and address them before they surface in production
  • Define the early optimization approach, including prioritization criteria, testing cadence, and measurement guardrails that enable sustainable program growth beyond the initial launch phase
  • Serve as the authoritative voice in client-facing optimization and decisioning discussions
  • Translate platform-level complexity into strategic recommendations that build client confidence and connect technical decisions to business outcomes
  • Guide the internal team's work across a live engagement, building judgment, not just correcting output
  • Shift the operating model from dependency to validation over the course of the engagement, with clear readiness markers for transition

What You’ll Need:
  • 8+ years working in MarTech platforms, with 4+ years of hands-on Braze experience across multiple launches and post-launch optimization cycles
  • Braze Practitioner Certification required; Strategist, Developer, or Technical Architect certification strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in Braze architecture, decisioning logic, and platform-level performance diagnostics
  • Proven track record to lead client conversations at a senior level with composure and clarity, and to coach delivery teams in live, in-flight environments
  • Familiarity with the realities of post-launch pressure: data issues, scope creep, urgent client issues, and the judgment calls they require
  • Experience in integrated marketing, digital agency, or consulting environments preferred
     
Future-Ready Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience applying AI/ML-driven decisioning or predictive orchestration natively within Braze or adjacent platforms
  • Perspective on how marketing automation architecture needs to evolve as AI-native program models replace traditional journey logic
  • Familiarity with real-time data infrastructure, streaming event pipelines, reverse ETL, or CDP orchestration layers, and how they reshape platform configuration
  • Point of view on where Braze fits (and doesn't) in a composable, AI-enabled marketing technology stack
