WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan reporting directly into the Brand Manager, Jordan Streetwear in the Brand Management team. This role will act as an individual contributor to fuel consumer demand and build our long-term connection with consumer by partnering with our Japan Marketing leaders, the Asia-Pacific Latin America (APLA) geography and Global Brand Marketing teams across Nike to build more effective and efficient ways to encourage and connect with athletes*.

This role will bring experience and passion for youth culture and streetculture. Understanding of Sneakers, sneaker culture and the streetwear landscape, fashion and Tokyo are critical for this role. This role will get energy through outreach and conversations, and eager to uncover stories, products, ideas that creatively connect back to the high-level strategy and brand plan.

This role is a collaborator, building strong relationships across a matrix organization and demonstrate proactivity to lead multiple tasks/ projects ensuring all executions are delivered on time and on budget. Being passionate and knowledgeable about Jordan Brand would be highly appreciated.

  • A minimum 3 years of experience in either brand building/marketing, consumer marketing or related experience in digital marketing, social media/influencer marketing and retail marketing.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.

  • High interest and deep understanding of youth culture & streetwear, style, fashion and trends inclusive of deep understanding of Digital and Social. High interest and knowledge of Jordan Brand would be plus.

  • Team player with ability to think big picture first, work cross functionally, have a curiosity for consumer insights/behaviors and multi-task, and agility to changing environments.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Activities of the role include support of the Brand Manager (Streetwear/ Sport/ Energy). Success will be measured on increases in brand strength, market share growth, traffic to Nike platforms, sell-through of key products, and entire lifecycle engagement of Jordan members. Other responsibilities includes:

  • Owning key operational work streams including campaign measurement, financial and legal processes to keep the team in the know, on track, and compliant.

  • Managing products end to end inclusive of planning, ordering and delivering to key stakeholders.

  • Development of the seasonal plan, weaving insights, ideas, and product to deliver on brilliant execution.

  • Managing asset development with our key creative stakeholders and ensure distribution across all consumer touchpoints.

  • Leading some key activations that deliver on the overall integrated marketing plan.
