The Role
Own and evolve Lucis's visual brand system and templates across web, social, ads, events, and partnerships. Operate and extend agentic design pipelines (Claude + Figma plugins + image/video tools), maintain brand governance, ship scalable template libraries, lead brand maturation work, and ensure all assets feel consistently on-brand.

Making preventive health the default for every human in Europe

The mission

At Lucis, we believe healthcare should be preventive, not reactive. We’re building the OS for human longevity to help people add more healthy years to their lives. You can read more about who we are and how we work here.

Why this role exists

We hire for one thing: people who deliver high-value experiences, fast. Fast is not corner-cutting. It comes from two things we refuse to trade off.

  1. Choosing the right experience. The judgment to know which problem is worth solving, so speed compounds instead of producing polished waste.

  2. Getting it right the first time. Craft high enough that an experience is remembered and trusted, held coherent from the first screen to the last so nothing drops at the handoffs.

Most companies build a design seat around one of these. We're building this one around both. It's a consumer product role with the soul of a brand designer: you run your own strategy, Discovery, and Delivery, and you don't wait for a spec to start.

What you'll own
  • The experience, end to end. From "which problem is worth solving this week" to the last micro-interaction. You frame it, prioritize it for value, and carry it to shipped.

  • Craft that holds. Interaction, motion, and visual quality high enough to be remembered, coherent across every surface Lucis touches: mobile home, coach, results, web, launches, partner work.

  • Complexity made calm. Biomarkers, protocols, clinical results. You turn dense, high-stakes information into something that feels simple, and earns trust.

  • The brand's point of view, in product. You defend a definition of good and keep Lucis feeling like Lucis, not like everyone else's safe-and-polished.

  • The agentic pipelines that let design move fast. You operate the stack daily, improve it when it drags, and reach for leverage so your time goes to the hard 10%.

Who you are
  • You run product and UX strategy. You frame the problem and prioritize for value; you own it end to end because no one is going to feed you a spec.

  • Your craft is remembered, not just shipped. You'd happily show us your worst shipped screen alongside your best, because the floor tells the real story.

  • You're an interaction designer at the core. You think in prototypes and motion, not static frames. You show how something feels, not only how it looks.

  • You have consumer instincts. Your reflex reaches for reassurance over density. The SaaS-dashboard register is the one thing we can't coach fast, and you already have the other one.

  • You have high agency. You've operated without a manager or a mature design org, and you preferred it that way.

You'll stand out if
  • You have bold brand taste and a point of view you'll defend. When AI flattens everyone to safe-and-polished, taste is the moat.

  • You've shipped consumer product at real scale, carry a wide cultural reference set, and you're hungry to mine it for ideas nobody else would reach for.

  • You move well across squads and get to speed on unfamiliar problems fast.

  • An AI-native, ship-to-git workflow lights you up rather than makes you uneasy.

  • You use design systems as leverage for craft, not as the product itself.

  • You've made dense or high-stakes data feel calm and simple before.

Bonus (tie-breakers)
  • Mobile-native fluency. Mobile home and coach are our live priority surface.

  • Health or another high-consequence domain in your background. It builds restraint.

  • Motion or prototyping as a genuine strength.

  • Bilingual FR/EN.

What you'll inherit on day one

  • A working agentic asset stack: Claude skills, Figma plugins, and image and video pipelines that turn a Notion brief into a shipped carousel, newsletter, or ad in under an hour.

  • A versioned knowledge base that encodes Lucis voice, taste, calibration tiers, compliance, and output contracts.

  • Direct access to image and video generation, and every system you need to move.

How we work

We work together from our Paris hub. We're passionate about what we're building and believe the fastest way to make something exceptional is side by side. We're open to relocation support for the right people, and we welcome missionaries who travel to work with us in Paris on a regular basis.

  • Rigor without ego. Audits, science, and code all held to the same high bar.

  • Radical ownership. Feedback loops are short; everyone contributes to the best version of Lucis.

  • Velocity over perfection. We ship daily, and we prefer a good decision today to a perfect one next week.

Process
  • Screening call (20 min)

  • Craft deep-dive (60 min)

  • Take-home case study using our actual stack (~3 to 4 hrs), plus a 45-min review

  • Half-day on-site with the team in Paris

  • Two reference calls

  • Decision within 10 days of the on-site

At Lucis, AI isn't just our product, it's our engine. Every team runs on the best AI agents we can give them. You'll have carte blanche to automate everything that can be, so your time goes to the work only you can do.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years in brand design, including in-house experience at a consumer or healthcare brand (not pure agency)
  • Portfolio demonstrating brand systems (templates and reusable systems), not just one-off artifacts
  • Daily fluency with Claude or another agentic coding environment (Cursor, Windsurf, Devin)
  • Fluency with at least one of: Figma at infrastructure depth (variables, plugins, MCP) or image/video generation tools (Midjourney, Higgsfield, Runway, ComfyUI)
  • Senior typographic instinct and motion literacy (able to direct motion work)
  • Ability to write clear creative briefs executable by other designers or freelance motion partners
  • Treat the website as a brand surface (ownership of website brand execution)
  • Professional-level English communication
  • French language skills
  • Editorial design background (publication, magazine, newsletter)
  • Experience shipping work in regulated categories (health, wellness, fintech)
  • Contributed to a design system from scratch
  • Used image or video generation models for production work (not just exploration)
