What You'll Do
Design and operate secure blockchain systems that handle customer assets
Own on-premises custody architecture, including HSM-backed key management, transaction signing, access controls, redundancy, backups, and disaster recovery
Lead custody integrations and migrations while maintaining security and transaction continuity
Develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade smart contracts and DEX integrations
Build multi-chain transaction infrastructure across EVM-compatible networks, Solana, and other non-EVM ecosystems
Build and operate RPC integrations, blockchain nodes, indexers, reorg-aware chain listeners, and on-chain data pipelines
Own the transaction lifecycle from policy checks and signing through confirmation, reconciliation, and recovery
Establish strong practices for observability, incident response, operational security, and failure recovery
Work closely with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver reliable financial infrastructure
What You'll Bring
Strong software engineering experience building and operating critical production systems, ideally in financial services, digital assets, brokerage, or exchange environments
Hands-on experience with RPC integrations, node operations, indexers, chain listeners, wallets, custody systems, and transaction signing
Experience designing, operating, or migrating on-premises custody infrastructure using HSMs
Strong knowledge of key lifecycle management, cryptographic signing, access controls, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
Production experience across both EVM-compatible and non-EVM networks, ideally including Solana
Experience developing and operating smart contracts; strong Solidity knowledge is expected, while Rust or Solana development experience is valuable
Experience integrating DEXs, DeFi protocols, or other on-chain financial workflows
Understanding of node synchronization, RPC reliability, transaction models, finality, reorg handling, backfills, fees, and network-specific failure scenarios
Knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, idempotency, data consistency, and observability
Ability to independently own complex, security-sensitive projects from design through production
Skills Required
- Strong software engineering experience designing and operating complex production systems
- Deep hands-on experience building and operating production-grade blockchain infrastructure
- Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, transaction models, finality, reorgs, fees, and network-specific behavior
- Experience with multiple blockchain networks and protocol models
- Strong understanding of wallet architecture, custody models, key management, transaction signing, and blockchain transaction lifecycles
- Hands-on experience with HSMs and secure key management infrastructure
- Experience with MPC-based custody systems or platforms such as Fireblocks
- Strong understanding of cryptographic signing workflows, key security, access controls, and security boundaries
- Experience developing, deploying, and operating smart contracts
- Solidity experience
- Experience with DeFi protocols or use cases such as staking, liquidity pools, or DEXs
- Strong understanding of on-chain and off-chain architectures and trade-offs
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, idempotency, failure recovery, and data consistency
- Experience operating critical production systems with monitoring, alerting, observability, incident response, and post-incident improvement
- Ability to make sound architectural decisions and reason about security, scalability, reliability, operational complexity, and delivery speed
- Ability to independently navigate high-ambiguity problems from concept through production
- Strong ownership, accountability, and responsibility for production outcomes
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions across teams
- Willingness to mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering judgment and security standards
