Overview: As a Senior BI Developer at Litera, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about driving innovation in the legal technology space. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and collaborate with industry experts to deliver solutions that make a real difference in the legal profession. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Gathering, analyzing and complementing business requirements and translating them into business entities, relationships, appropriate data models and technical specifications. 

  • Design, develop, implement, test high performance BI solutions for our clients in the legal industry. Analyzing business requirements and design appropriate strategies for customization/configurations 

  • Provide insights into initially ambiguous requests, help clients facilitating valid business logic. Describe and summarize business requirements and logic with precision. 

  • Help develop and enhance BI platforms in performance, security, accessibility, stability, and resilience

  • Delivering services as outlined in SOWs and other requirements documents. 

  • Managing moderately complex projects independently and complex projects with some supervision 

  • Assisting senior team members with highly complex projects 

  • Directing junior team members to complete project deliverables 

  • Mentoring junior team members 

  • Identifying areas for process improvement and actively engaging in the effort to implement changes for the better 

  • Ensuring the quality and success of the project deliverables and being accountable for managing risks and issues that arise 

  • Delivering projects on time, within budget, and within the planned scope 

  • Providing product, consultative, and business analyst expertise to customers and prospective customers 

  • Keeping all project constituents informed of project status. 

  • Ensuring all project deliverables are delivered on time and on target, and projects conclude successfully with high customer satisfaction 

  • Demonstrating expertise in assigned products 

  • Providing high-quality written materials as part of customer projects 

  • Providing pre-sales and post-implementation assistance as needed 

Qualifications: 

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical discipline 

  • Proficiency in OLAP data modeling with SSAS Multidimensional/Tabular/PowerBI 

  • Proficiency in query languages MDX, SQL, DAX, M query 

  • In-depth understanding of RDBMS development, management, troubleshooting, performance tuning (MS SQL/Oracle/SAP/PostgreSQL) 

  • Experience with MS SQL Server subsystems: SQL Agent, SSIS, Security/Encryption, Replication. Able to manage and troubleshoot SQL Server subsystems 

  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing techniques, considerations and solutions. Ability to design and implement appropriate Multidimenisonal data models for different scenarios 

  • Experience with advanced ETL techniques (implement slowly changing dimension, incremental loading, partitioning etc.) 

  • Paginated report development with SSRS/SAP/Oracle stack using MDX/DAX source, data visualizations with PowerBI/Excel/Tableau 

  • Microsoft Fabric experience preferred
