This position is crucial for leveraging Power BI and Tableau to provide advanced analytics and data visualization solutions. The role involves the development and optimization of business intelligence tools to drive business decisions and growth.
We'll trust you to:
- Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Create interactive Tableau dashboards to support business needs.
- Data Management:
- Gather and normalise data from multiple data sources for use in Power BI and Tableau.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and dashboards.
- Optimisation:
- Enhance dashboard performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
- Apply best practices for data visualisation and report development.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Provide training and support for Power BI and Tableau users within the organisation.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct quality checks and unit testing for reports and dashboards.
- Maintain documentation for developed solutions.
- Innovation:
- Explore and implement advanced analytics capabilities such as AI and machine learning within Power BI.
- Stay updated with the latest features in Power BI and Tableau.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other project-related tasks as needed.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Tableau and Power BI.
- Proficiency in creating interactive dashboards and visualisations in Tableau.
- Solid experience in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and calculated fields.
- Experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with Tableau Server and Power BI Service.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Preferred Skills
- Certification in Power BI and Tableau.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
