Position / Assignment Purpose :
As a Senior Baseband Engineer, you will design and validate world class automotive wireless communication modules (2G/3G/4G/5G/WIFI and V2X) with a Senior Baseband Engineer and Hardware Manager.
Position / Assignment Summary :
You will own the baseband design from initial product definition till mass production such as form factor/pin out, schematic design, PCB Design review, Dev.kit design and also the baseband verification and validation.
Key Accountabilities / Statement of Work :
1. Projects baseband hardware development activities management to support PM’s Project Management.
2. Baseband schematic design and review, PCB design review.
3. Baseband issues debug and fix.
4. Baseband performance improvement or optimization for customer and factory.
5. Baseband performance verification and validation.
6. Hardware Dev.kit design and verification.
7: Hardware support for our customers and customer facing team.
8. Senior engineer acts mentor to help Junior baseband engineer to help team skill growth and issue fix.
Required Education and Experience :
- Familiar with the Analog/Digital/MCU principle and application.
- Familiar with the industrial standard for Processor/Memory/Power/Interface/Audio.
- Familiar with the hardware system design
- Familiar with the hardware requirements , especially for the hardware peripheral interface which includes low speed interface , high speed interface, etc.
- Knows how to design the tests to find out the root cause of the issues and then have the correction actions.
- Familiar with the Equipment, such as Call Box tester, Oscilloscope, Logic analyzer, Audio analyzer…
- Familiar with key baseband components such as processor, memory, regulators, such as the market trend, key requirement, the advantage and disadvantage of different technologies.
- Good team work capability and high execution are required.
- Hardware requirement specification should be documented and managed by Sr. engineer level.
Required Skills and Competencies :
- Bachelor or above, Electronic technique or wireless communication background is preferred.
- Baseband Development experience in wireless products is must, and the experience based on QTI/MTK based wireless solution is a plus.
- The experience of NAD module or automotive application is preferred and a plus.
- Good English communication skill is must, and Chinese language capability is plus.
