The Ads Measurement Lift Studies team is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of our advertising platform. We specialize in building compelling experimentation products for advertisers. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us build the next generation of lift study/experimentation products to help advertisers understand the impact of their ad spend on Reddit.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and enhance the conversion lift system and advertiser-facing measurement products
- Collaborate with Product and cross-functional (XFN) teams to define and align on the product vision and roadmap
- Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts, working closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations
- Take ownership of your work, from concept to delivery, and ensure that your solutions are scalable, reliable, and meet the highest standards of quality and performance
- Continuously learn and grow with our team, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development
Technologies used on the team include:
- Languages: Go, Python
- Frameworks: React, Thrift, Baseplate, Kafka
- Datastores: Postgres, Cassandra, Druid, Redis, BigQuery
- Tools: Kubernetes, Argo, Docker
What We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or computer science-related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, computer science)
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in a highly scalable computing environment, with a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
- Prior experience in ads measurement and conversion lift system and products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders independently
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in the ads or experimentation platform space, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas
- A deep understanding of data science concepts, particularly in the context of experimentation analysis.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git
