In this role:
- You will build API to a multi-tenant backend services to enable easy access by internal applications, clients, and partners
- You will continuously integrate and ship code into the cloud environment
- You will develop applications from ground up using a modern technology stack such as Scala, Postgres, Play, and NoSQL
- You will participate in defining the architecture of modern tools and runtime for operating your code such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- You will work directly with Product Owners to deliver products in a collaborative and agile environment

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other relevant field
- Expert level knowledge of JVM and OOP
4+ years of experience in Scala or other functional languages - 7-10+ years relevant experience in Technology development and delivering project Experience in leading large Big Data Development Program on Cloudera Platform and having Hands on Experience in different tech stacks in big data including
Spark(on Scala or Python). - Should have strong experience in Relational and No-SQL databases
- Should have been involved in enterprise scale multi region project development and tracking initiatives.
- Experience in banking/capital markets or Risk or Finance is necessary.
- Experience of development methodologies such as SDLC, Agile key milestones/ artifacts around same, size estimation, structure of BRD/FRD and full blown project plan preparation, test methodologies (functional, regression, performance).
- Overview programming paradigms- object oriented, functional etc; should have driven a large build out, implemented end to end one to two program end to end in global model.
- Complete project lifecycle exposure
- Experience working with Play Scala or Akka HTTP
- Experience in designing API and documenting through Open API/Swagger
- Experience in Unix/Linux including basic commands and scripting
- Strong knowledge of source control systems and best practices (Git, Merging,
Branching, Pull Requests, etc.) - Strong knowledge and understanding of algorithm optimization and distributed
systems - Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment and monitoring
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Fintech
Additional Qualifications
- Designing mission-critical system using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture
- Experience with Cats or Scalaz and know how to apply them in the messy world of FP-OOP
- Experience working with Shapeless and can explain generic programming
- Knowledge of Statistics
