As a Backend Engineer at Noise, we're looking for highly motivated generalists with experience in large-scale distributed systems. Your primary focus will be API development, designing complex systems, and building real-time software to process data at massive scale.
Ideal candidate should satisfy the following:
Must Haves:
4+ years of backend development experience using Python/Java (preferred), or any modern server-side language
Proven ability to write secure, maintainable, and very high-quality code in fast-paced environments
Developed and shipped core backend systems at massive scale with best practices
Skilled at identifying and mitigating potential issues early
Extensive experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure
Nice to Haves:
Contributed to open-sources projects
Previous experience in HFT, MEV, or in developing similar systems

To attract the best people, our goal is to provide competitive cash compensation and high upside in the long-term success of Noise. Equity options are subject to the same four-year schedule as the rest of the team.
