What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems and services. Golang is the preferred programming language. We welcome candidates from other technology stacks who demonstrate strong system design expertise, solid engineering experience, and a genuine eagerness to learn and work with Golang.
A Day in the Life
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Architect reliable and high-performance distributed systems.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Participate in system design discussions and technical decision-making.
What you will need
- 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or Software Developer.
- Strong proficiency in Golang (preferred) or experience with languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or similar.
- Strong understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalability principles.
- Experience building RESTful APIs or microservices.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn Golang if coming from another stack.
