We are looking for a Backend Engineer.
Your daily task:
- Develop the Java Backend part of the Webtoon services
- Participating in code reviews and architecture design
- Proactive, can-do attitude and strong commitment
Your background:
- 5+ years of work experience on Backend systems with Java applications to serve large-scale and high-traffic projects.
- Have +3 years of experience in Java Spring-Framework
- Experience or strong knowledge of MSA and k8s
- Experience or strong knowledge of one of the databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, ...
- Have experience in a message queue like Kafka
- Understanding & experience in Data structure, Algorithm, Distributed Service, OOP
- Open-minded, honest, and have a positive attitude towards people
- Good at communication skills in general and English skills in particular
It's a big plus if you:
- Have experience in DevOps and CI/CD
- Have experience in ELK-stack
- Have experience with distributed systems (e.g., HBase, Vitese, etc.)
- Have experience in Server Architecture Design for handling massive traffic
- Proficiency in the Korean language is preferred

Skills Required
