Responsibilities:
- Play an active role in the development team to design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient backend solutions
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality and performance
- Excel in improving monitoring processes using tools like New Relic.
- Take an active role in enhancing software standards across the team.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Write clean and well-documented code following the industry best practices and coding standards with support of experienced teammates
Skills and Knowledge:
- 7+ years experience delivering production code for backend services.
- Experience with Golang
- Knowledge of payment systems or integration with payment gateways is a strong plus.
- Experience with HTTP/REST and web technologies like gRPC, Protobufs
- Excellent knowledge of one of the databases such as PostgreSQL, Mongo, MYSQL
- Knowledge of data-driven architecture and systems design
- Knowledge of the philosophy of cloud and an experience maintaining cloud native services (AWS)
- Experience of designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services, and knowledge about how to compose a service oriented architecture.
- Experience creating, managing and maintaining Micro Services.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, Prometheus, Kibana, etc.
